When using Apple Mail, I frequently get a message (see attached)........I can not send the email because of this message. How can I fix this from ever happening? It is very frequent and very annoying!

I'm having the same issue. Earlier today I was able to attach and send a 900k PDF file, then an hour later I've tried sending a 500k jpg. I've never had this problem before upgrading to Ventura (Mac users in 1994 here.)

Doesn't matter what type of mail I'm using - gmail, my ISP, or personal web host's mail. All of which worked perfectly up until the Ventura upgrade.

I've run disc utility, rebooted, relaunched, checked the connection. Can send and get text email fine.

Have tried dragging from the desktop, using the attach file from the menu bar, etc ... nothing is working.

Since I'm a graphic designer who sends files all of the time, this is very annoying.

This is what I see in mail, and it just hangs there indefinitely.

Maybe the attachments your trying to send are large and it’s taking time to upload to email server. Try sending a smaller Vers by editing the attachments. If this is not possible, try sending the attachment a smaller size in email. The email settings are original size, then smaller sizes such 640x480 pixels and more. This might help.

If your using the mail tool large email drop attribute, it will attempt to load the large file onto Apples email server and then Mail will send the email to the user with a link to attachments. The user must click the link, then the attachments will be downloaded to them.

One last thing to check is maybe your ISP provider is having problems. You might try calling them to see if they are having email or network access issues.

Tell us how your are attempting to send attachments thru email.

Are you dragging and dropping into mail

What are you doing to attach?

And if you “get info” from the finder file menu, what type of files are these and what format?

ie; video, pics, text, voice memos, ?

send screen snapshot of the info of files (command key, shift and the number 3, all at the same time) that will help
