Siri not responding

OK - I have a iPhone 7 not a 12. My Siri is not working/responding at all. I have updted it to iOS 16.0.2, done all of things recommeded and it isn't responding. I truly need my Siri to respond when I ask it to. It won't make calls, respond to texts, make calls when asked. It is truly a useless feature that I have used constatnly until the recent updates. The newest update 16.0.2 did not fix it. I need it fixed ASAP. I use it when I am not able to actually do anything with my hands while baking, gardening, cleaning, quilting, driving - you get the picture. I need this feature to work!

What can I do to fix this??

I just read in a different thread.

go to Siri settings.

change Language from English US to UK.

test Siri

then change it back.

had same issues before. Siri would clock and just say something went wrong.

NasHudson this is what worked!! Thank you. I switched from English UK to English American then back again and today it worked!! So happy I could switch back to the UK though. I lived there for a few years and prefer to hear that accent.

I already have English UK(I just like the accent). Will try changing from UK to US. Then back. At this point I’ll try anything! I need Siri back!!

Hi! I am having the same issue. I just spoke with a technician with Apple. Seems that this is a chronic issue right now and they are investigating. We should get an update to fix this issue.

I had already done everything but the latest update. Updated this morning and still no Siri responding as per pre updates. I’ll try contacting apple as per your recommendation.
