Camera Flash Settings Changed

So I just noticed that my camera stopped flashing on my IPhone X. After reading a closed thread on topic, it appears that Apple has removed the manual flash setting. Now the only way to get the flash to work is by opening the hidden menu and turning on Auto Flash. Then the flash icon at top of camera screen changes to yellow and the flash works. The problem is that you have to do this each time you use the camera. C’mon Apple you can do this better than this !! Give us back the manual flash setting !!!

What happens when you tap the flash icon on the camera? Do you not see any change?
