So I currently have a tv with a broken sound system, and I was wondering if I bought a new apple tv and a home pod mini I could use the home pod as my new sound system while I watch something on apple tv

I recently acquired a second HomePod Mini and put it in the louge room where I have an Apple TV 4K. To my surprise the next time I fired up the Apple TV I was asked on the TV screen if I wanted to use the HomePod as my speaker. The Apple TV identified the nearby HomePod on my network and could then offer this option, which I didn't expect.
