My iPhone 13 Pro does not turn on

My iPhone 13 Pro does not turn on? When I woke up at the morning it was dead, and I left it charging overnight.

Howdy Rodsil,

It sounds like your iPhone won’t power on. We know how important having a working iPhone is for you, and you’re in the right place to find a resolution.

The first thing to try is the steps listed here. These steps can often resolve this type of issue:

If your screen is black or frozen
1. Press and quickly release the volume up button.
2. Press and quickly release the volume down button.
3. Press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.

4. If your phone doesn't turn on, follow these steps to check your hardware and charge your phone. You might need to charge for up to an hour.
5. If your phone still doesn't turn on, contact Apple Support.

Very similar situation - plugged in iPhone 13 at about 19% battery last night, using my normal charger cord and normal temperature. When I woke this morning, it was dead. Holding in power button only, or vol down + power didn't work, but this procedure did work. Thank you. When it powered back on, the battery was at 80%. I had recently updated to 16.4.1; could this power off issue be related? I would really like to know why this happened, and if I can prevent it.

My 13 pro died after 2 years 8 months. Tried all the tricks mentioned and nothing. Brought it to Apple and they couldn't do anything. No mention of whether this was too soon to totally die (which I think it is), just said too bad I didn't get Apple Care. Uggg... Now i'm out over a grand for a new phone. Still went with an Apple (this is the first issue I've had with one) but will look for another brand if I have more issues. Just disappointed Apple acted like this is totally normal for a $1000 phone to die in less than 3 years.

Same thing happened to me and my phone is just 1 year and 6 months old. I contacted Apple support and visited a couple of service centers near my area. All of them said I should have my phone replaced for Php48,000 (almost $1K), which is ridiculous! I've been a long-time Apple user, but this experience has made me consider switching to a different brand. I hoped they would care more about their loyal customers, but I think we're just seen as another sale to them. It's disappointing to see that even long-time patrons don't seem to matter to Apple.
