iPhone 14 notification problems

I have the same "no notification" of text messages problem and Apple support is of no help. Apple needs to get this fixed. When you press the volume up button, the white line goes up to the maximum at the top and then seems as if the volume slowly diminishes. You can press the volume up button two minutes later and the white bar goes all the way up again when you would think that it would stay at maximum volume. What's up with that?

notifications continue to be inconsistent. For a period of time the sound meant for the messages was on email arrivals with no sound on messages.

I find also annoying is the fact that when the phone is connected in the car by Bluetooth no notifications work.

lastly and most annoying is how Apple Music plays itself and comes up open on my phone and to a music selection from my library. Short of deleting it and the content, I have found no way to stop it.

With such an expensive piece of tech. one would think something as simple as 'Notifications' would work without a blip. Some notifications sound, other's don't . I have noticed in particular any Microsoft notification, from say an email verification text, doesn't make a sound and often doesn't show as a new text. I also don't understand why this particular thread (I have no experience of the other threads however) is only people making the same complaint but there appear to be no answers? Are we all p***ing into the wind? I only use the asterisks in case some poxy bot decides the word is an expletive, as if same were not just part of the English language and a perfectly legitimate use of the language. down with word facism. ooops! gone off subject,

I am also having the same issue. I upgraded from a 12 pro to a 14 pro today. I have gotten no notifications on the new phone. I still had the old phone as I had not wiped it clean yet and they were all being delivered to the old phone. I called Apple and they had no answer for me. Super frustrating as I actually like my 12 pro better.

Sorry GM289, no solution for that, mainly because I have no idea what CarPlay is, however, if it is of any use at all , my usual approach to these things is, 'If it is meant to work a certain way and isn't, persistent research and diagnosis generally brings about a solution.

Same issue. Inconsistent notifications or none at all for periods of time. Same with notification badges: sometimes they appear correctly, sometimes not. Awful!

I have that problem on my iPhone 14 too !

I finally deleted the music app because it came on every time I started my car.
