Red notification bubble for email

Do you know when you get a notification for social media and a little red one or two will pop up on the screen letting you know that you have a notification? Well email does the same thing. I’m not sure when this started to happen but I’ve noticed recently that I no longer get notified with that red bubble for emails. I tried to Google search it and someone said that you should be able to enable some kind of button in order to bring back that little notification. However, with the new update, I don’t think that that’s there at least I don’t see it on my end. Can anyone help me bring back the red bubble?
