Not getting Messages notifications

A few weeks ago, I stopped getting Messaging audio, alerts, and the screen turning on my Iphone 13 Max Pro. I would get the messages but I would not get alerted on my phone or my watch. I checked every single notification setting on both my phone and my watch and they are how they should be. At that point, I was infuriated because everything is exactly how it should be, so I just reset all settings. Then they started working. Cut to today- the same problem. The banner will show up on the lock screen, but only after I tap or wake the phone. No vibration, no screen turning on, no sound. My watch mirrors my phone so I get nothing there either. It is only Messages that this happens to. Every other app alerts just as it should. I would rather not reset every setting, so anyone have any suggestions?

Allow notifications -on

Time Sensitive Notifications- on

Alerts- lock screen, notification center, banners- all checked

Banner style- temporary

Sounds- tri-tone

Badges- on

Show in CarPlay- on

Announce notifications- on

Show previews- When Unlocked (Default)

Notification Grouping- Automatic

Customize Notification- repeat alerts- once
