High res music

Is there a way to ensure that Apple music only plays high res music?

Hi,

If you have hi-res selected, music that is from Apple Music library will be streamed or downloaded in the format that is available. Uploaded music will play in its original format i.e mp3 or lossless transcribed to 256 Kbps AAC. You could consider smart playlist that excludes low res music.

Thank you for the reply. I have all my options set to high-res. I am pretty sure most of the recordings that I listen to have a high res cut but I get all sorts of resolution including mp3.

I have some MP3 recordings on my iPhone that I transferred from an old iPod and I would like it if those were not selected as I'm paying for higher quality but I don't want to delete them either as some are live performances.and some are not on Apple music at all.
