Battery is showing charging is on hold due to high temperature. But is very cool and have restated it twice but not able to charge iphone 14 pro

We'd like to rule out some possible causes as to why that message is showing on your iPhone:

1. Are you using an Apple-branded charging cable and power block?
2. Is it being used within its temperature range? Check for the range near the top here: If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch gets too hot or too cold
3. Since you have a compatible iPhone model, the latest version is iOS 16.0.3. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. Here's a link that'll show how to first back up, then Update your iPhone or iPad.

5. What's the battery health percentage, and are any error messages showing under Settings > Battery > Battery Health?

It is not a bug, it's a feature to avoid iPhone motherboard from getting damaged.

Post iOS 16 update, this pop up started appearing only when phone detects little bit of heat which is not hot to touch though.

To continue charging either reboot your phone or just wait for a while and automatically the phone will continue to charge.

Even I had the same issue(which I thought it was), but when I googled about it, I found out it is completely normal.

Either ignore the message if not in hurry to charge and go out or reboot the phone to charge your phone at that instance.
