I am on an iMac. Apple Mail suddenly asking for password! I know password is correct as can sign in on webmail. I removed Exchange account from Mail and tried adding again... but not recognising user or password now?

We'll be happy to help out with this account issue. Have you tried logging into webmail using a browser? This will help isolate if the issue is with the account itself. If you're able to sign in using the web browser without an issue, try starting the iMac in safe mode and then attempt adding the account again: How to use safe mode on your Mac. If that doesn't work, try restarting normally and trying again. Sometimes safe mode can resolve issues that are specific to apps.
