I am planning to buy Iphone 14 pro, I have iphone 12 which I want to trade in, will I get a refund back to the card that I will purchase with or will it be an apple gift card ?

Not really. If the OP orders an iPhone 14 model phone and identifies the trade at the time of order, once received by Apple, the trade value will be applied to the payment method used to purchase the new iPhone. The only time Apple gives a gift card for a trade is if the trade isn't used at purchase or the trade isn't completed within 14 days of purchase of the new phone.
This whole thing is misleading, I went through the video, it says if you paid in full, credit will be applied to your payment method (which will be my credit card ), it should say if you paid in full we will send you a apple gift card
