Move Content Without Powering Computer On?
If my MacBook Pro cannot be powered on (battery issues), is there a way to move my existing content onto a different computer without investing in a battery replacement?

Sorry for the late reply. In that case, the SSD is soldered directly to the main logic board (motherboard), but if you can provide power to the laptop somehow (charger plugged in), you can start up in Target Disk Mode by holding down the T key at startup. This makes your Mac act like an external disk so that when you connect that Mac to another Mac, the other Mac can access your broken Mac's contents.

Hi crunchybean,
It depends. What year was your MacBook Pro made in? Does it have either the T2 Security Chip or an Apple silicon chip (M1, M2, etc)?
If you're not sure, you can check by entering your serial number here: https://checkcoverage.apple.com
My MacBook Pro was made in 2017, so I don't believe it has either chip.
