Home bar won’t work

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We see you have some questions about your phone being stuck with the home bar, and we'd like to help. Have you tried restarting your device? This may help with the issue you're seeing: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

1) Press and hold either volume button and the side button until the power-off slider appears.

2) Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.

3) To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button (on the right side of your iPhone) until you see the Apple logo.

We believe you might have mistyped. Do you mean that you updated to iOS 16.0.3? Also, can you explain a little more about what you mean by the home bar? Are you referring to the App Switcher? Switch apps on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support Or is the issue within another type of app? The more details we have, the better we can assist.
