Apple Watch Ultra - Fast Charge not Happening

Hi there, I became suspicious that my Apple Watch Ultra was charging slowly so I have measured it over the last charges and it falls well short of fast charging speed.

Using the fast charging puck and a 20W (A2344) charger it took 1h 11m to charge from 18% to 56% and 2.25 hours to charge from 18% to 94%. This is similar when using other charger bricks of 20W+.

I've seen other's having this problem on other forums - anyone here having similar issues? Is this likely to be a software issue fixed in future WatchOS releases?

So it appears that there is an issue with fast charging - it will only work when the watch is connected to an iPhone. Hence why when I was wearing another apple watch during charging there was no fast charging. I have tested this and get pretty consistent results. It wasn't sorted in 9.1 but looks like it may be in 9.2

Where do you live? Unless something has changed, Fast Charging for Apple Watch isn't available for example, in Argentina, India, and Vietnam. Whether that applies to watches purchased only in those countries or if the location determines charging speeds, I can't tell you.

Hope you get it sorted. For me, I don't sleep with my watch on my wrist, so my watch is on its charger from the time I go to bed till I get up in the morning. i.e., Fast Charge isn't an important feature in the way I use my watch.

Must say that the battery life in the Ultra is, to me, is one of its best features. I can truly a full days use and then some from the battery. For example, strapped my ultra to my wrist at 7:30 AM this morning and have streamed music, read a few emails, text messages, etc., and my remaining charge at almost 1:00 PM is 96%. Simply, awesomely flat out amazing!
