AirPods Pan right on Mac

Every time I connect my AirPods Pros to my MacBook, the audio pans all the way to the right. Each time, I have to go into the sound preferences and move the slider back to the middle. I also frequently use wired headphones, and never have the same issue with those.

Any ideas what's going on and how to fix it?

AirPods Pro sound quality issues Hello! When my AirPods Pro connect to my MacBook the sound quality is subpar to say the least. Then when I go into the audio settings and change the "Audio In" to the microphone of my mac instead of the microphone on the AirPods (that i automatically connects to) the audio quality of what ever show I am watching suddenly gets a lot better. It seems weird that the audio quality suffers from the microphone being connected. AirPods Pro default volume is too high When I connect my AirPods Pro 2 to my MacBook, it connects at a default volume of 50% which is too loud. It used to just connect at whatever volume I had it at last (1 or 2 ticks) but it stopped doing that for some reason. I have tried restarting my laptop, forgetting my AirPods and reconnecting, and resetting the bluetooth. my AirPods and MacBook are up to date at the time of writing. please help.

Mac keeps switching to speakers when i connect my airpods I have a macbook air and reacently bought airpods pro and they connect with bluetooth fine, but if i stop playing something on the airpods then the mac will automatically switch to the speakers. For example, Im playing a video of a class and using the airpods audio, if I pause on that video to take notes and dont play it within seconds then my mac will switch to the internal speakers, and everytime I replay the video I have to switch the audio back to the airpods. They dont actually disconnect from the bluetooth, the mac just switches the audio. I have updated and restarted them but nothing works. This doesnt happens with my iphone

If the sound is increasing when you connect your AirPods to your MacBook, you can try some basic troubleshooting steps:

Update your Mac Update macOS on Mac
Ensure your AirPods are up to date About firmware updates for AirPods
Restart your Mac Shut down or restart your Mac
Reset your AirPods How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro
