MacBook Pro (2021 M1 Max) / Safari Version 16.0 (17614.1.25.9.10, 17614)
Started recently when zooming in and out; mouse becomes hyper sensitive and maps takes a second to render, see below. (Works smooth in Chrome)
Machine restarted, issue persists :/
The bug was there before version 16 of safari?
Not sure it started early last week, safari was updated automatically once v. 16 was released.
Hopefully, we shall see...
I'll update here if resolved by Ventura update or other solution;

I have the same issue. Google maps zoom in/out in Safari is not smooth: it "jumps" in steps and take a while to render. I am on macOS 12.6.1
I can’t. I have a 2016 MacBook Pro that is not supported by Ventura 😕
But you have MacBook Pro 2021 M1 Max too ? Do you have the bug in your 2 Mac ?
Running Ventura now still not resolved.

It did not help. The zoom is still jumpy and not smooth.
