Message on exit in Terminal window

On typing "exit" in a Terminal window, I get the message: "Saving session...shell_session_save:9: shell_session_save_user_state_functions: parameter not set"

This occurred after I attempted to change the Profile in Terminal > Preferences > Profiles

Any ideas how I can get it to go away?

I'd try deleting. with Terminal not running & restart..

~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Terminal.plist

Or maybe look for clues in...

~/Library/Application Support/CrashReporter/Terminal_[BigLongNumber].plist

Great news my friend, I'm so happy I could help! :)

As a general rule of thumb, plists in the user account can be deleted, & they get normally get he normal copy from the one in System or System>Library, sometimes making a new one is built into the App if it doesn't find one.

If worried you can rename it or move it for a test.
