How do I authorize a new Mac when my AppleID is old, and is @mac.com, which is not a functioning email account. The program sends this email the 6 digit verification number to verify the email, which has NEVER been a working email account with Apple.

Have you tried adding the @ Mac.com account as an email account in Mail? Tried using the iCloud.com account to receive the email?
It won't connect to my @mac.com, and my @icloud and @me.com it won't send the code to those accounts
