how do I find REGULAR 2nd generation airpods.

My AirPods 2nd generation were stolen while I was at school and that was nearly 2 weeks ago, I've been using find my and It might as well not even exist because it's literally so unhelpful, it shows when it was last connected and last used...don't a'll think that anyone with a fkn brain will know when they last used them???? anyways, I can't mark them as lost, I can only play sound and it won't connect because my school is literally like 25-30 minutes away from my house. So what do I do.
