Locked phone

Lost my iphone so locked it on Find my iphone. Once found no one at apple support can help me unlock it. It now says that it was erased on find my iphone. Apple also started a claim when I locked it which I had cancel. They said it could be 24-48 hours before I can use it again. How is this happening. I followed there instructions to lock it and now no one knows how to make it work

After erasing your device, the Activation Lock will still remain active. You will have to disable the Activation Lock by using your Apple ID and password when setting up your phone again.
