I would highlight my pdfs and all of the sudden it would close and all of my highlights goes missing. I use my apple pencil often and this always happens?

When I highlight my PDFs and make notes using my Apple Pencil, the Ipad would blink out of nowhere and erase my highlighted and marked notes. how do I fix this issue?

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities about issues with markup on PDF's.

Is this occurring in a specific PDF, or all? Can you try downloading a new test PDF and see if it does it also?

Are you using iCloud Drive too? We ask because if it's local, it may be with the app. If it's quitting unexpectedly when trying to sync with iCloud, it may be a network or iCloud issue.

Also, if using iCloud, check that you have iCloud storage space, and see if it occurs on another wireless network, or with Settings > Wi-Fi off, and see if it happens on cellular?
