Apple Watch Series 3 8.7.1 Update Issues

I’ve currently spent 2 weeks trying to update my factory reset Apple Watch Series 3, I’ve tried everything from resetting the Watch and phone, turning off Bluetooth, cellular data assist, every troubleshooting option I’ve found. Nothing currently works.

the Watch either gets stuck on a boot loop, preparing, keeps repeating the update process and never reaches an end, says Watch is already updated to 6.3 and the goes back to updating to 8.7.1 never to reach an end. Is Apple working on fixing the update or is this a problem where I would need to send it to get it evaluated at an Apple Store?
