Contacts List

iPhone having two “iPhone” lists instead of one (see picture)

When enabling iCloud contacts to be shown the second list changes from “iPhone” to “iCloud” but the first one still remains , accumulating new contacts that are non accessible by any application installed (whatsapp, groups, contactsCleanup etc).

Looking for a way to completely remove the first “iPhone” list that seems to have been generated by mistake

Settings, [your name], iCloud, (show all), Contacts, turn it off

Choose "Delete from my iphone" when asked.

Then open contacts and delete any individual contacts you find there.

Then Settings, [your name], iCloud, (show all) Contacts, turn it back on.
