My mom is receiving her gmail emails on her hotmail account. She is getting duplicates of the emails on both accounts. It is showing that the email is being sent to her gmail. No connection to her hotmail. She is not being Cc/Bcc’ed.
Her gmail mail is being sent to her gmail account & her hotmail account. The “To” field is showing the email is for the gmail account.
She uses the native iOS mail app.
Check by signing into her google mail on a computer or ipad browser to see if there is a mail forwarding set up there.
Also Google like to "invite" you to link with a microsoft account and if that is set up find out how to unlink them from Google support or their forum

Thank you for your answer, but that didn’t work. Her Hotmail on the computer was fine. It was her iPhone that was acting up. I just deleted her hotmail account on her iPhone and added it back. That seemed to have fix the issue.
Never seen that happen but you found a fix.
That woukd be a universal fix for any mail receive or send problems but cross-sending I have never experienced!
