Macbook air monterey battery

My macbook air was just updated to the new software monterey. But air shut down because of low battery without warning. How do I enable a notification that my battery is low and needs to be plugged in?

There is no "battery status" on my macbook air Greetings I have a Macbook air early 2016, I upgraded it to Monterey but by going to system preferences> battery, there is no "Battery Status" button. How is it possible? How can I check the battery status? Can anyone tell me something? Thank you

If the Mac shut down unexpectedly due to low power, that event should cause the "low battery" warning to recalibrate itself. You should get the notification next time it gets low.

If not, Get help with your Mac laptop battery - Apple Support.
