Mac OS Monterey
I want to share my Epson scanner with other macs on my network. However, when I go to system preferences/sharing/ there is no checkbox to share the scanner.
This is possible using 3rd party software like USB Network Gate but you have to pay.
This is a feature that is built into Windows machines. How can I do this on my mac without having to install and pay for extra software?

My recollection is that Apple removed scanner sharing back when OS X Mavericks was released (2013).
I would connect the printer/scanner to the network then each computer would have access without the need for sharing.

Would it be correct to assume that this is a standalone scanner with a USB connection only? In order to avoid any misunderstanding, please post back with the exact Epson scanner model.
