Can you expand on what you mean by "link"?


The best way to use your two devices in partnership is to sign both of them in to your iCloud account with your Apple ID credentials. See iCloud - Official Apple Support for the various iCloud services.


Read these in particular:

Sign in to iCloud on all your devices

Set up and use iCloud Photos

Upgrade to iCloud+
