Blank notes

Very frustrating to have to close out of the Apple notes app completely to get notes to reappear. Never had this problem until about iOS 15. I use notes for everything and apple does not seem to have a fix at all or even a plan to do so? Seems to easy of a fix.

Hello Kouvertier,

Which particular iPadOS version is currently installed? The current version as of the moment is 16.1. This page can help with updating if needed, to ensure the device has the latest improvements applied: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Does the device use iCloud Notes? You may check in Settings > [your name] > iCloud to confirm. If so, ensure the device has a strong connection to the internet. If there are VPNs or other security apps installed, try temporarily uninstalling them to help rule out any possible conflicts.

Cheers.

Hey Kouvertier,

Thanks for clarifying. Since this seems to be isolated to 3rd party accounts, one thing you could do is to disable Notes in the third-party account settings and turn them back on. This should get them to resync to the device. Notes may be able to load them better afterward. Take a look at the steps in this article.

  1. "In the Settings app, tap Mail.
  2. Tap Accounts, then tap the email account that you want to check.
  3. Make sure that Notes is on."
