Searching in mail does not work

Searching in mail does not work

Searching for mail in Apple mail has become absolutly worthless. We booked a hotel and trying to find the email and no matter what i type, the Trip ID, the hotel, Homewood Stuites, Hilton, Houston and the resutls are either nothing, or everyting but what i want.

Can anyting be done because this is ruining my apple experience.

And how do i permenantly change the what is the topic about? It constantly lists 3 old operating systems i no longer use and its beyone frustrating to contsantly have to change it. How do i make Montery permenant and get rid of the others?

Rebuild your Spotlight index.

Rebuild the Spotlight index on your Mac - Apple Support

Why do i want to prevent spotlight from searching my HDD or document folder. Seems like an exercise in futility to add it then remove it. I tried it so lets see what happens.

And i did not want to chage the topic of the post, just the part of what is the topic related to at the bottom.

Also evertime i post i change to another topic and its worthless as the old OS show up every time no matter how many times I change it to Montery. How do i make it stick?

When will the OS i am using show, its constantly shows the last 3 OS i no longer use? Why won't it show Monterey if i have changed it to that a dozen times?
