Watch Ultra on the Belkin 3-in-1 Boost Charge Pro
Hi
I am running 9.0.2 on the Watch Ultra, and sadly fast charging does not work on the newest Belkin Boost Charge Pro 3-in-1 Charger. Anyone else still having this issue?
Thanks

After an hour talking with Belkin, they pointed me to this support article. This product has NOT been tested for the Apple Watch 8 and Apple Watch Ultra.

I spoke with two Apple support representatives. Despite the storefront listing Ultra compatibility, one of them found information that the Black charger is not compatible. The White charger had conflicting information.
There appears to be a disconnect between Apple and Belkin. After an hour speaking with Apple they agreed to take the charger back despite being beyond it's return period.

I would say in your case, you're experiencing the newer Optimized Charge Limit, which is exclusive to Apple Watch Ultra. After about a month, your Apple Watch learns from your usage patterns and is supposed to charge the watch to the level you need, not necessarily to 100%. I thought there was something wrong with my Ultra at first. Then I worked with Apple Engineering and found it this is as designed.
While not an Apple Support Article, this link explains it better --> https://www.macrumors.com/how-to/apple-watch-ultra-use-optimized-charge-limit/
Hi man-ngai, We appreciate you reaching out to us. We understand that you are unable to use the fast charging feature on your Belkin Boost Charge Pro 3-in-1 Charger.
We’d like to gather additional details that may help us be in a better position to assist you.
Were you able to use the fast charging feature with your Belkin Boost Charge Pro 3-in-1 Charger in the past?
If yes and the issue just started recently, we recommend that you unpair your devices, then pair them back again.
Performing these steps may help correct any feature that is not working as expected.
Unpair and erase your Apple Watch
If no, we recommend that you test a different fast charger.
Take care!
Mine did the same at first. But as Apple Engineering explained, it takes a month for the watch to collect enough usage patterns to adjust appropriately. No two users will have the same usage patterns. You may well use a significant amount of charge each day and your watch may well charge up to 100%. Others (like me) for example, who don't use a significant charge daily, may see their watch charge to 80% or a little higher and stop there.
Hi
thank you for your reply.
Indeed, I am unable to use the fast charging function with my Apple Watch Ultra with my new Belkin Boost 3-in-1 Magsafe Charging pad.
Regarding your questions:
1) The charger is brand new and the fast charging function for the watch has never worked.
2) testing a different fast charger: with the original Apple Watch puck, it works flawlessly.
Just to specify (all within the range of up to 80% battery status): the original Apple puck charges at between 12 and 18 percent per 10 minutes. The Belkin charger peaks at a maximum of about 7-10% per 10 minutes.
I am running 9.1 on the watch.
And interesting fact: the watch does become "warmer" using the Belkin charger as opposed to the Apple puck.
Do you think my Belkin charger is defective?
Thanks
mine was not even charging 1% on the charger for hours, stayed at a38% charge.
Using The charger that came with the phone, and within an hour the watch was at 100%
Weirdly, yesterday, the Belkin charger started working fine, no IOS update, so really don’t know what happened.
so if the watch charges normally using the Apple charger, I’d say it has nothing to do with Optimized charging.
man-ngai,
Based on the testing you've completed, it would be best to contact Belkin for additional guidance about their charger. Use this link to get in contact with them: Locations
Take care.
It seems the Belkin Magsafe might need an OTA FW update (like the Apple Magsafe chargers do occasionally)....
I have the Belkin BOOST↑CHARGE™ PRO Portable Fast Charger for Apple Watch, with apple watch ultra.
for the first week it charged super fast, then I upgraded to 9.1 and now the watch does not charge.
I put it on the dock, the lightning bolt shows it started to charge. An hour later and the charge has not increased by even 1%
I reseat the watch over and over again, with the same result.
when I put it on the regular Apple charger, the watch charges fine.
the same problem was posted here when upgrading to 8.5, is the same issue at work here as well?
or is my Belkin charger defective?
I returned mine as the first replacement didn‘t improve anything - and ordered an Anker Cube 3-in-1.
hope that works better
Thanks
I will probably just replace the charger at Apple and then see.
What would be interesting to know: Has anyone else who has the same charger and the Ultra tested their charging capacity per 10 mins?
Thanks

I have the same problem. I bought a new Belin 3 in 1 charger. My phone charges good and also my AirPods.
unfortunately, my apple ultra watch doesn’t charge at all.
what do I do?
My Apple Watch Ultra won’t charge past 83% when using the Belkin charger. Don’t know if it’s a problem with the watch or the charger.
sounds like the charger…
