After Force Quit, Safari Not Responding, Normal, or what..?

After visiting Twitter, Safari wouldn't let me out of Twitter, had to Force Quit, Safari wouldn't give any other option, is that normal..?

Safari Slow, Lags, Quits, Terrible For the last year or so, Safari has gone downhill. The biggest problem I have is it just stops working altogether. I have to quit the window and start all over. Also, at times, it is SO slow. I find myself having to open up Chrome, which I don't love. I don't even know why I keep hoping something will change. Is there any way to fix this or has Apple just dropped the ball on this browser?

When I go to Yahoo sites, Safari freezes? When I use Safari to browse Yahoo sites (e,g. sports or financial), Safari freezes and must be closed with force quit. Any suggestions?

Maybe it's normal for Twitter; I wouldn't know.
