iPhone 12 Pro Max Camera Resolution

I am only getting 72 x 72 resolution on my 12-PM. I use it for photography. My 8+ shot much higher resolution, and I think I was able to change the settings to capture at Hi-Rez. I don't see that setting in 12-PM. Is there a way to change Rez other than jpeg vs. heic?

Hello Hippie_Gardener_Photographer,

For help with changing your iPhone camera settings, test the steps below found in the article here: Adjust HDR camera settings on iPhone - Apple Support

"Turn off automatic HDR

By default, iPhone automatically uses HDR when it’s most effective. On some iPhone models, you can manually control HDR instead.

  • On iPhone XS, iPhone XR, iPhone 11 models, iPhone SE (2nd generation), and iPhone 12 models: Go to Settings  > Camera, then turn off Smart HDR. Then from the camera screen, tap HDR to turn it off or on.
  • On iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X: Go to Settings > Camera, then turn off Auto HDR.
  • To turn HDR back on from the camera screen, tap HDR, then tap On."
