com.apple.VoiceMemos storage problem

serious storage problem on my xr. There’s a mysterious file in iPhone Storage with 54GB that simply refuses to delete. It seems to be the voice memos files, although I removed that app. it still takes up 54 GB of space in Documents and Data. It still remains in General > iPhone Storage and is called "com.apple.VoiceMemos" with a cloud and downward arrow next to it. it’s slowing my phone down. I tried Turn off iCloud syncing for the Voice Memos app before deleting the app to remove them from your Phone.

Settings -> Apple ID -> iCloud -> Voice Memos -> set to OFF.

Then deleting the Voice Memos app. Please let me know what solutions are available to clear up this space.

With the kind of problem that you have what I would do is the following...


What I had done earlier is given below

  1. Took a backup on iCloud (Which I do regularly)
  2. Logged out of the Apple ID
  3. Erase --> Erase iPhone - Apple Support (IN)
    1. Keep eSIM Data was the option I chose (See the pic)
    2. .
  4. Set up my iPhone and restored it from iCloud Backup



Hurray! My iPhone with all the junk removed.
