I can't turn off two-factor sign in

I have an iPhone 12 Pro and a Windows 10 PC. When I sign into my iCloud account on the web, I'm always given a verification code on my phone. I want to turn off the two-factor sign in. I have read many questions and answers in the community but it seems that most of the answers don't apply to my situation. For the life of me, I can't find anything in my iCloud account setting to allow me to edit two-factor sign in. I did read somewhere that the two-factor sign-in cannot be turned off. But I really want to turn it off. Is there any way to get it done? Thank you!

According to Apple:

If you already use two-factor authentication, you can no longer turn it off.

Certain features in the latest versions of iOS and macOS require this extra level of security, which is designed to protect your information.

If you recently updated your account, you can unenroll within two weeks of enrollment.

Just open your enrollment confirmation email and click the link to return to your previous security settings.

Keep in mind, this makes your account less secure and means that you can't use features that require higher security.
