For help with an Apple ID login, test fully signing out of your Apple ID to sign back in with the new password. The steps found in the guide here: Sign in or out of your Apple ID on Mac If not using macOS Ventura, be sure to change the macOS version from the drop down menu to view details for your macOS.
If you're seeing one of the alerts listed from the article you started from If your Apple ID is locked or disabled, test a normal restart of your Mac, and test the new password again.
