time machine drive reset
I would like my TM hard drive to return to its original form. (being able to drag and drop files too and from, and not be associated with TM)

Open System Preferences > Time Machine. Click "Select Disk…". Click the "Remove Disk" button. Erase the disk in Disk Utility. Hopefully you have a different Time Machine drive.
