I just updated to ipad os 16. My external monitor dont even show up or turn on.😭😭😭After the update . What do i do. Not even mirror display.

They will only fix the bug in upcoming iPadOS versions if they receive enough complaints about the issue. That’s what I’ve been said by Apple Care support staff.
Also, there appears to be more and more Apple Support community postings on this issue.
Apparently, there is a problem with all Apple HDMI video adapters on iPadOS 16.1.
Hopefully, Apple will, soon, fix this issue, in a future iPadOS 16 update.

Basic screen mirroring should be available to an external TV or connected monitor with iPadOS 16.1. However, Stage Manager support for external monitors is not yet available - this feature being planned for release later in the iPadOS16 lifecycle.
Disable Stage Manager from the Control Centre; screen mirroring should be restored.
Exactly same thing here with my iPad Air 4th gen! Screen mirroring to my TV (using an USB-C to HDMI adapter) stopped working right after updating to iPadOS 16.1.
I even tried restoring my iPad to factory settings but it didn’t work either.
Hope this is fixed in the next iPadOS version release.

I have a KYY portable monitor. Worked fine with any USB-C cable or even USB-C to HDMI adapter. After the IPadOS 16.1 update, it only works with the cable that came with the monitor. Not even an Apple USB-C to USB-C cable (came with mbp) works with it.
Currently, you can ONLY mirror and iPad's screen to an external monitor.
Apple has not, as yet, officially added external, extended monitor support to the new iPadOS 16 Stage Manager feature.
Look for Apple to, officially, release the extended monitor support, to the iPadOS 16 Stage Manager feature, in a future iPadOS 16 update.

I did, i even made a soft reset(force restart) also. Dont turn on at all. I got a baseus adapter.it worked before the update
Nope no screen mirroring . Nothing. My ips panel wont even show up . After the update. I cant do my work cuz of this. Just want the old screen mirror at least.
Yea hopefully. Or I would loose my mind . Cant do my work without a big screen. Hope apple knows about this.
Finally with iPadOS 16.2 it’s been fixed!
