How do I turn off Find My Tracking Warnings for my friend's devices?

Since the latest software, I've been getting repeated warnings for Find My Tracking that devices are nearby and the owners can see my location. These devices belong to friends and family, and I don't care if they know where I am; WE'RE TOGETHER! How do I shut these off?

I've searched the web, and I can't believe I'm the only one with this issue.

BTW - my friends and family are complaining because I have 20 Airtags: water bottle, wallet, keys, backpack, earplugs (I go to a lot of concerts), mask, various other paraphernalia... and seriously, my friends are getting tons of warnings whenever I'm around them.

I'm becoming an Airtag pariah among my circle!

HELP!

Hey s14ScottD,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities.

You may be seeing this if "Share your location" is on. Is your Find My location being shared with those friends and family members?

If sharing your location is enabled, disable and see if the notifications continue. You can stop sharing your location with everyone by following the steps below:

  1. Open the Find my app.
  2. Select the Me tab.
  3. Turn off Share My Location.

If you'd like to stop sharing location for specific people, click here for steps: Find people and share your location with Find My. Once there, scroll to the section labeled "Stop sharing with one person".

This article may have more helpful information: What to do if you get an alert that an AirTag, Find My network accessory, or set of AirPods is with you. It provides great information about AirTags.

Take care.

Thanks so much for responding.

I think I need to be more clear. Here’s an example that is neither of the two you’ve raised.

I have two pair of AirPod Pros, one associated with a work iCloud profile and the other with my personal iCloud profile.

Regularly, on my work phone, my personal AirPods are identified as a device where their owner (me) will know where my work phone (me too) is located. The same is true for my personal iPhone with my work AirPods.

i know where I am. I don’t care if my personal AirPods allow my work phone to be located. It’s all me anyway. But the warnings persist.

I appreciate your time and any further guidance you might have.

thanks!!!
