Ventura is not saving printing presets (fully)

With Ventura I have (painfully) discovered, that especially the specific paper tray (e.g. tray 2 on my printer with multiple trays) is not saved in the printing presets (neither for this print job, nor globally for all).

So before printing my DHL parcel labels I always need to manually select the correct tray. Doing that for each label can be quite annoying.

For me it seems one bug in Ventura 13.0, that has not existed with Monterey before.

same thing here, we're using a HP Laserjet 500 MFP M525 and it does not store the paper trays from which it should print, remains in automatic while in the preset there should be stored specific trays, really annoying. I removed and reinstalled the drivers but it did not help. Issues are since upgrade to Silicon and Ventura, I have recreated the presets several times.

It's not just the feed tray settings for me but also includes paper type, color correction settings and so on. I need to go through the whole darn list to print. Frustrating since I use the same paper type, size, color management settings (ColorSync with custom profile), borderless extension settings, etc. Not a great situation. I am not clear it is Apple or might it be Canon? I cannot say, but would like it fixed. I'm patient, but don't enjoy my work when added steps are required to do something that was once simple.

I have almost same printer OKI c941 I'm not so sure about all options but basically I would say everything saves besides the trays, if I remember well. but I do remember sometimes it didn't save the paper attributes yes correct. but it may be some other reasons. like changing other setting to much so it conflicts so the software many times changes things because of conflicts. but maybe it does have to do with the same bug. but the worst for me is the tray because its taking from other trays and printing on wrong paper etc etc. crazy. and I have no idea why apple is not listening to us! its not apples type. usually they do listen. but for some reason they are deaf here.

It only took 8 months!

My last post was removed on the pretext it mentioned something I have deliberately omitted this time.

I do have it on good authority that is indeed fixed though so anyone who can't wait for 13.5 public will have to do their own research ;)

Maybe next we'll get the ability to reliably search our emails in mail or spotlight search will work to index google drive once more :)

I recently upgraded to Ventura 13.6, and I am having the same trouble saving presets. Existing presets work as expected, but any "saves" do not in fact keep any values set. I have even seen where I looked at a setting in a drop-down menu, then went back to look at it again, and it had flipped the setting. It also does not seem to maintain the settings of the job I had just printed - when I return to the printer screen, the default settings are in place. I made the mistake of overwriting an existing preset, so now I have to change SIX different settings before each print job. I'm sure complaining to Apple won't get an immediate fix (since this problem seems to have existed for quite a while, based on the dates of other posts), but what else can I do? Maybe if enough people complain, they'll bump the priority of this issue. Yeah, right... :(
