My MacBook air

Hi so my MacBook air fell on the ground and it has a line across the screen but it still works so it didn’t bother me but..(now my actual problem) i was just chilling with my macbook air when my cat stepped all over the keyboard and then my screen froze,turned off, and when i went to put in my password . Nothing happened none of the key where working but i can still move the mouse and trackpad but none of the keys will work and i cant put in my password to get in :(((


if anyone knows how to fix this please please let me know please:((

First, try connecting a wired USB keyboard to solve your most immediate issue.

Second, make one or two complete backups of all your data very quickly before something else goes wrong.

Third, bring your Air to a repair shop for an evaluation.

Fourth, it's possible the cost of repair will come close to the price of a new machine or a used one of the same vintage.

Fifth, start looking at new and used machines right away just in case.
