27” Thunderbolt Display Compatible With M1 2020 MacBook Air

I just purchased the thunderbolt two to thunderbolt three adapter to try to get this display running and I’ve got nothing yet. I also got the USB-C adapter to the little magnetic power adapter and I plugged both of those into my MacBook Air and connected them to the Thunderbolt Display. The magnetic power piece lights up green and charges my laptop but I don’t get any image on the Thunderbolt Display and I have no idea why. I watched countless YouTube videos and it looks like this was all I needed to get the Thunderbolt display working but so far nothing. I have macOS Ventura on my MacBook Air.

please somebody help. I really would like to get this thunderbolt display up and running, it’s such a great display and I’d hate for it to go to waste.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.1

Are you sure it's the Thunderbolt display, not the similar Mini DisplayPort version. The Thunderbolt plug will have a Lightning bolt icon. The cable on the Thunderbolt display splits to two plugs: Thunderbolt and Magsafe). The other splits to three plugs: Mini DisplayPort, Magsafe, and USB. Mini DisplayPort won't work with a Thunderbolt adapter even though the plug will fit.
