Apple direct transfer question/problem??

I just did Apple direct transfer from my XR to my new 14 Pro and when I look in Settings, General, Iphone storage there are less GB showing in the new phone than the old one for each category. My photos in the old phone show 6.26 GB and in the new phone 1.69 GB.

Does anyone know why this would be, other than something not being transferred over??

Do you use iCloud for Photos, Messages etc? If YES, then that is the reason. Allow a few hours for the new iPhone to settle and download the data from your iCloud account.
