Magic Keyboard

HI everyone

I have trawled through loads of posts on here and seen the same issue I am experiencing.

The volume buttons on my new magic keyboard do not work.

I have tried the fixes people suggested on here. I have gone into system preferences and keyboard. The main solution seems to be to uncheck the use F1, F2 buttons, but I do not have that option!!

I have reset the keyboard , reset bluetooth and rebooted the Mac repeatedly. no joy. I have attached screenshot of what my settings look like and my Mac model and OS.

I have unchecked F10 to show desktop in the setting for mission control. I am still stumped.

Is there anything else I can do? Please?
