After the update to MacOS Ventura 13.0 some file icons in menus became blank. The file icons are all visible in Finder (windows). The same file icons display as a 'blank' icon in the attachment overview
This happens for example with all .pdf files
I tried re-installing the specific programs but this seems not to help. Thanks for any advise

Try changing the default application to Preview to open your PDF example and compare your results..
Select your a file, Command i opens the information pane—change the default

Thanks Leroy. I've tried that (including change all button). Removed Acrobat, restarted, change to Preview app, restarted, installed Acrobat again.. It is not happening with Apple app documents and O365 apps documents. All regular system file icons were not affected either.

The acrobat is known issue in that regard...
Do not re-install your third party if it is an issue. The point being Preview as default.
