MacOS Ventura Updated - MacBook Pro M1 Pro screen flickers now as my second monitor

I did a clean install of macOS Ventura 13.0.1 today, to try some of the tips of changing the colour profile on the built in display, and whether disabling True Tone would work, none of those have given my any better results, display is still flickering, and have even gotten worse since I tried Ventura a few weeks ago.

My display is a LG 27UL850-W, directly connected to my MBP 14" with the cable the monitor was shipped with, this works fine with no issues at all in macOS Monterey.

I would agree if this were general issues, however there have been no issues with any other devices I own, and it's completely specific to macOS Ventura. As soon as I run any other USB-C device, or macOS Monterey on the exact same device, there is no issues at all.

The original cable is completely fine.

Is anybody going to solve this issue with an update?

the issue started since I've updated my Mac Air M1 2020 to Ventura 13.0.1 and definitely not related to hardware issues.

I've tested it with different dock stations and different cables. Meanwhile this setup works perfectly fine for another machine without Ventura OS

The cables shipped inn the box, free, with many different displays are often "lowest bidder" cables. You should try a better cable.

By any chance have you tried changing the "Presets" fixed it for me on both of my Mac Pro & MacBook Pro.

I got the same issue with my MacBook Pro 14" with M1 Pro chip, got a LG 27" 4K display directly connected to my device via USB-C, got intermittent flickering on the internal display, tried a clean reinstall of macOS Ventura to rule out potential upgrade issues.

Since we had a update for Ventura yesterday, are anyone able to reproduce the flickering on 13.0.1? I had to downgrade to Monterey for the time being, due to the screen flickering increasingly getting worse.

I personally only have the issue when there's a video playing on the MBP monitor, then the external one flickers.

After updating to 13.0.1, same, I would even say worse after watching one video (only one though): the external display just went dark completely.

Stopping the video playback "resumed" the external monitor status.

Same here mac pro m1 max 2022 (MacBookPro18,2). I have 2 4k monitors connect via laptop thunderbolt. It happens intermittently. It happens more often when the mouse comes close to the edges of the screen.

I filed my feedback ticket to Apple on 26 October, and have updated it repeatedly since, with the issue still persisting on new Ventura updates, and it still persists to this date, happens on all versions of macOS Ventura for me.

I'm starting to get frustrated at this point, with no responses from Apple in any form or way for more than two months, it renders the MacBook almost unusable for me when running Ventura.

Same issue here too. Noticed it during the beta period - the final version has made no difference.

M1 Pro 16” + Belkin Thunderbolt 3 dock connected to a Dell P2415Q monitor.

Same issue with M1 MacBook Pro and Studio Display. Seems to only happen during the night or evening 🤔

I tried a different USB-C cable.

Same issue. MacBook Pro 16 (M1 Pro) connecting to LG Ultrafine 4K 24 via a Thunderbolt cable.

I am facing similar issue too
