macOS Ventura flickering screen

I updated my Macbook Air M1 to Ventura on Monday 24 Oct. Within a few hours my screen started to flicker. I rebuild the machine using a USB drive (Create a bootable installer for macOS - Apple Support) After a few hours it started again. I notice this happens when I am using IntelliJ Idea Ultimate. Has anyone else encounter this issue? Perhaps when doing something that will use up a lot resources? I don't mind going back to Monterey I just hate the long process of rebuilding/setting up a machine.

Thanks but I have no such app but learnt the flickering does not happen on an external monitor.The apple store said it is a display fault new screen required....£850 !

I have a 2017 macbook pro 13 inch. I have the same issue where after I updated to ventura 13.6.4 from high sierra I started having flickering and altered color on my built in screen, however not with any external monitored connected to the laptop. Any solution would be apprecatied.

It seems like the issue is with IntelliJ.

Same exact problem on my M1 MBP 16" after upgrading to macOS 13.3.1. Has anyone resolved this issue or do I just need to go back to Monterey and wait for the next OS version?
