There is no way to know for certain. If your employer is keylogging your work computer, who knows what else they may be tracking on it or through it, and over time how much more intrusive their tracking may become.

FWIW, I would never associate or connect my home computer in any way with my employer's systems, network or internet services. You should keep them completely segregated from each other.

Also, FWIW, I would never work for an employer who was known to keylog employee computers.

Apple is not here on these forums. It is only just regular users such as yourself. The closest you get are the forum moderators or Community Specialists, but they generally only respond with mostly generic responses & links to public Apple documents if a thread gets zero replies after a few days.

Always assume any company managed device will be able to see everything you do with that device. While some companies may have a mostly hands off policy of not actively spying on their users even if the computer is being managed and locked down, but if an employee dispute or legal action arises, then they can most definitely review any & all logs & activities on your device. Plus if you used your personal device for business in any way, then that personal device may also be accessed through a court order. Of course rules & laws vary by region. And each company has their own rules & policies (sometimes may not always be following the local laws or accepted practices).

Make sure your employer only allows access via VPN to their computers. Otherwise it isn't practicing safe computing for remote computing. Any machine on VPN is subject to the auspices of the employer's whims.

JAMF and Intune both offer many remote management features for updating software on employer terms known as mobile device management and they work with Macs.

Thanks so much for replying. I am pretty sure most IT Remote companies who give you their laptop have some kind of spyware on them. I do know a third party company has installed ConnectWise on my company laptop so they can work on my machine remotely, and I just assume it has keyloggers because it's pretty common in the IT world. Universal Control is such a GREAT feature but maybe it's not worth the risk if they could see every keystroke I type. Cheers.

Thank you. It is connected by TailScale and Connectwise. I don't know a ton about TailScale I've read it's VPN-ish. Either way , I think with that combo they surely could see whatever they want. Just was hoping someone from Apple would chime in and say "Nope. We definately thought of that during the design phase and there is zero chance, virtually impossible you could see the keystrokes of a computer connected with Universal Control". Maybe that's a pipe dream.
