It’s part of macOS, so there is no supported means to remove AMPLibraryAgent.


Based on the footer, your MacBook Pro can be upgraded to at least macOS 10.13, and potentially to a more recent version. If you post the Mac model year, we can provide the upgrade options.


Newer macOS versions can solve problems found in older ones.


Older versions of AMPLibraryAgent did occasionally get busy, too.


From reading some potential fixes reported in the following, this agent getting busy appears to be a corruption in some cached data.
