Blank login page for microsoft exchange on Mac (Ventura 13.0)
I've had a problem recently, every time following a large MacOS upgrade. When I try to log into Mac email to access my work exchange email account the normal exchange login window (which would take my user name and password) appears completely blank. I only have the option to close or reload.
I have done lots of research on this and it looks like lots of people have the problem, but the solution seems to fall between Microsoft and Apple with neither suggesting a workable solution. I have found two that worked for me so wanted to share to save someone else having the research pain I've been through.
- First option which worked originally (but then not this most recent time). Was to close all office apps. Then go to Mac Settings - Extensions - Sharing and then select the One Note checkbox. Then open One Note and you should get an exchange login window that you can see and sign into. This should then mean that you're signed in via email too.
- Second option which worked this time, was to close all office apps then open an excel file on my exchange account (work sharepoint) and again, the exchange login window appears in a way that it can be used.
The common thread seems to be, logging in via a (random other) microsoft application into your exchange account. No idea why this is the case, but I hope this solution helps someone else until our Tech friends put something in place to fix the original issues. Have a great day.
